Richmond Hill Children's Center offers both full and half day Universal Prekindergarten Programs (UPK) to the Staten Island Community. In addition, extended hours preschool programs to the Staten Island Community. Our NYS certified teachers provide a caring, educational environment where children can both learn and have fun. The UPK program provides a nurturing environment where a child's natural curiosity is piqued and they are allowed to explore and master his/her world thorugh play and first hand experiences. The classroom is divided into centers where everything is clearly labeled. The centers are designed to allow for social interaction, stimulate the thought process, provide opportunities for choices, enhance reasoning skills, promote cognitive development, foster physical development, and improve coordination. All UPK programs are free of charge. RHCC offers both full and half day programs.
